Several years ago I wrote #TRY in the kitchen/living room of my cozy rental apartment.
VERY Shortly after that my landlord gave me notice ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ๐
I can smile nowโฆ but if you were on my IG Live on Friday you would have heard one of our team members tell you how crazy this was. One day sheโs working from my home and Iโm writing this song talking about โrent and being out of luckโโฆ then it happened.
Anyway, I started to perform TRY live both in Jamaica and overseas on tour to โtestโ it out – I wanted to see how the audiences would responded to it. ๐๐พ
Around that time Patrick Lindsay ( my manager) decided that it was TIME to make the album. So we reached out to the legendary Dean Fraser to help us with this production for this version.
The song was recorded, mixed and sat on one of my hard drives โunreleasedโ for a long time โฆ.
Now 8 years later, after much prayer for clarity and direction I was instructed to release 3 songs. This is #2 and NOW is itโs TIME.
So this is me moving in faith into the next chapter of musical unknowns BUT I completely TRUST God with this one.
And like the song says gotta #TRY#TRY #TRY canโt give up the fight.
